Keyword Research is an essential part of blogging to rank any keyword you need to do proper keyword research then only you can compete with other bloggers.
1. What is Keyword Research?
Keeping in mind the search engine results, the investigation is done about the subject of any article, it is called Keyword Research.
Through this process, you find popular search terms and include them in your content so that your content appears at the top of the Search Engine Results Page (SERP).
In other words, the questions or Queries being searched by people in Google or other search engine are called Keywords and the procedure of necessary research on the topic of those questions are known as Keyword Research.
2. Types of Keywords
There are three types of keywords:
a. Head keywords
b. Short tail keywords
c. Long tail keywords
a. Head keywords
The keywords which consist of only one word are mainly known as Head Keywords. Like “SEO” and some other keywords, there is a lot of competition on these types of keywords. My recommendation is that you must not try on these keywords.
b. Short Tail Keywords
The keywords which are of two words are called Short Tail Keywords like “What is SEO” etc. There is more competition on these keywords too but lower than Head Keywords.
c. Long tail keywords
Such as “How to do SEO for free” or “How To SEO in Short Time” is a Long Tail keyword because it includes three or more words.
Usually, the competition on Long Tail keywords is very and it is effortless to rank on them. My advice would be that you target Long Tail keywords only in the beginning.
3. How to do Keyword Research?
While doing Keyword Research, we get many keywords on which you can write a post. But choosing the right Keyword for you depends on some things.
Such as Search Volume, Keyword Difficulty, CPC, etc. To know about Keyword research, first of all, you have to know about these things.
4. What is Search Volume?
How many times a Keyword has been searched on Google in a month. This count is called Search Volume. That is, Search Volume is a metric that shows how many people are searching for a particular keyword.
If a Keyword is searched 1000 times in a month, then its Search Volume will be 1000. If you write a post on keywords with high search volume, then traffic will also come more on your blog. When creating your content, it is important to keep search volume in mind as it reflects the popularity of the keyword.
Keyword Difficulty [competition] is a very critical metric in Keyword Research. The higher the Keyword Difficulty, the more the Competition will be on that Keyword and the more difficult it is to rank on that Keyword. Measure Keyword Difficulty in 0-100 Rating.
If the difficulty of a keyword is 30, then it means that there is less competition for that keyword and it is easy to rank your blog post on it. After this, the more this number increases, the more the competition will increase.
The higher the Keyword Difficulty, the more difficult it is to rank on the first result page on Google. Target Low Competition Keywords. It is easier to rank on these. Always focus on Long Tail Keywords.
5. What is CPC?
The importance of CPC (Cost per Click) in Keyword Research is because its value determines the financial success of any paid search campaign, as well as by analyzing it, it can be identified how much the Adsense publisher should be charged. Gonna do it. There are different CPCs for all keywords.
This means if you are using Adsense ads on your blog, then if you click on the ad from the post of that Keyword, then how much money will you get per Click.
6. How to do Keyword Research for Your Blog?
To get traffic on your blog, you have to pay attention to the main 2 things, first is a high-quality article and the second is keyword research. If you pay more attention to these two things, then you do not need to do much in SEO to rank your post.
Although there are many tools or websites for Keyword Research, here I will tell you how to do Keyword Research on Ubersuggest.
If you find that keyword correct, then you can see its information by searching it on Ubersuggest. And can write content on it. But if you want to find a keyword then you can use this method.
1. Choose Niche Related Topics
First of all, you have to make a list of all the topics in your niche. As your blog is on Business ideas, then the topics of your blog will be like this.
Such as Small Business ideas, Best Business ideas, Low-Investment Business Ideas, and many more.
2. Search Topic in Ubersuggest
First of all, you have to choose a head keyword (topic) and then you have to search it on Ubersuggest.
If your topic is Business ideas, then you should first go to Ubersuggest. You have to enter the keyword first and then choose the targeted country.
After this, you have to click on the search. You will get the three things mentioned earlier Search Volume, SEO Difficulty, and CPC. You do not need to pay attention to Paid Difficulty.
All the data of any tool is correct but the data of CPC is not that correct. If you click on Keyword Idea from the left side, then you will also find other keywords similar to your keyword. You can find your best Keyword in it. Try it.
If you click on any Keyword, then you will see on the right side which site is ranking on this keyword.
As you can notice who is indexing on the page first on that particular keyword and how much traffic is coming from that keyword.
3. Choose the Best Keywords
Now you have a huge list of keywords. There are many keywords in this, but you have to choose a focus keyword and choose some keywords that you can target in a post.
I have told you that there are two things behind choosing a keyword, first search volume and second seo difficulty.
You have to choose the focus keyword on the basis of this. You should target many keywords in a single post.
For example, if your keyword is “Blogging Ideas” then you can target two keywords together as “Blogging Ideas For Beginners“.
You can target these keywords by title, subheading or paragraphs, etc. You do not have to fill in more keywords in your post.
Google itself will rank your post on multiple keywords. You do not have to use keywords with different meanings in the same post, this can confuse Google’s crawler.
You must use your focus keyword in the title, permalink, and meta description. Use similar keywords in the article, in heading tags, in the anchor text of the internal link, in the file name, and alt text of the image.
With this, your same post will rank on many keywords and you will get more traffic from a single post.
